Additional Information

Wednesday Preconference:
Workers’ Compensation Cases: They Never Get Easier
In this session a Workers’ Compensation (WC) attorney will provide an update on various as-pects of WC. This will be an interactive session with great discussion focusing on managing WC cases.

Thursday and Friday Conference:
On Thursday and Friday trainers from Every Day Ready will focus on medical training designed to empower responders with the capability to respond to traumatic injury in a crisis environ-ment. They will share knowledge, skills, and techniques that were developed and proven in combat. The training is presented within the framework of an active–assailant event.
This presentation will be informative, engaging, and is supported by breath-takingly real active bleeding task trainers and reality-based exercises that require trainees to make critical deci-sions, employ tactics, take the lead, and employ learned medical skills. The goal is to promote new life-saving techniques and empower all responders to save lives.

For the closing session Kathleen Buckheit will recount the North Carolina IBM shooting from 1982.
