Join our dedicated team at Youth Behavioral Health and help shape the future of mental health care for youth in crisis. We are a 54-bed, 24-hour, locked psychiatric facility in Butner, North Carolina, specializing in crisis stabilization for children and adolescents with complex mental health needs, including developmental disabilities, dual diagnoses, and substance misuse. Our trauma-informed, therapeutic environment focuses on building positive coping skills, encouraging healthy living, and promoting positive leisure activities. Our multidisciplinary team includes Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, and Nursing Services working collaboratively to provide holistic care.

- Providing direct patient care to pediatric patients with developmental disabilities in crisis stabilization.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assisting patients in learning positive coping skills, healthy living habits, and positive leisure activities.
- Conducting assessments to identify patients' psychiatric, behavioral, and psychosocial needs.
- Participating in de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention when needed.
- Educating patients and families about treatment plans, discharge needs, and available resources.
- Ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, team members, and visitors.
- Active RN licensure in North Carolina and BLS certification.
- At least one year of nursing experience, preferably in adolescent mental health or developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication, assessment, and crisis intervention skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with a focus on trauma-informed care.
