Michelle Edwards, RN, COHN, recipient of this year’s NCAOHN Cleo H. Everhart Award

Michelle Edwards, RN, COHN, was the recipient of this year’s NCAOHN Cleo H. Everhart Award. Its purpose is to honor achievement by recognizing demonstrated excellence in clinical nursing practice by an occupational health nurse who provides exemplary direct nursing services to the employee population. The award is also used to increase the visibility and promote the profession of occupational health nursing. Michelle is the Senior Occupational Health Nurse for Moen in Eastern NC. She is the Past President of the Coastal Plains chapter of NCAOHN, and has served on our state board since 2015 in various roles, including Education and Finance. She is currently working on her Masters in Nursing with a focus in Public Health. She lives in Chocowinity, south of the Pamlico River in Beaufort County with her husband John and her three dogs, Hampton, Castle, and Ellie. When she is not working, studying, or playing with her dogs, she and her husband are avid hockey fans and Huge Caniacs!
